In case of cardiac arrest, the patient’s life can be saved by first giving CPR till the patient reaches the hospital.

New Delhi. In the last few days, many such incidents have been seen when a person had a heart attack or cardiac arrest while dancing or walking and died before reaching the hospital. At the same time, especially among the youth, it was also seen that they suddenly got some restlessness or trouble, but due to not taking it very seriously, they became victims of heart attack. Although Worried about these increasing incidents, health experts are telling a term about this and that is the Golden Hour. According to health experts, such deaths can be prevented if this golden hour is taken care of in case of heart patients.

Delhi based All India Institute of Medical Sciences Of Professor Vascular Cardiology Dr. Nitish Nayak In a conversation with News 18 Hindi, it is said that many times it happens in a heart attack that the patient dies suddenly after a heart attack. There is no time to save the patient. Many times it happens that the patient has symptoms of heart problem earlier too but he does not recognize them or neglects them and he does not get the treatment he should get at that time. The consequences of which have to be borne later.

Heart attack cases are increasing in India due to this
Earlier the heart disease which used to occur after the age of 60 is now happening at the age of 20 and 30. Heart attack in youth is really a problem but there are many reasons for this. Dr. Nitish says that Kovid is also being seen as a reason in this. it may happen that Corona must have also played a role in increasing heart attack because whenever someone has a viral infection, it can be helpful in increasing diseases like heart attack for months or even for a long time. However, it cannot be said that only Corona is responsible for them. This can be due to multiple factors.

Understand golden hour from AIIMS doctor
Dr. Nitish explains that the most important thing in the case of heart is time. If a patient has a heart attack but does not get timely treatment, then the situation goes out of control. Not only the heart but other important organs of the patient start getting damaged. Many times people think that there is a problem of gas. They take medicine for gas and they don’t get the tests done. Unless there is any problem, people do not measure their BP and sugar. Because of which the disease is not detected in time.

Along with this, the most important thing to see for a heart attack patient is that If someone is having chest pain, he is sweating. If there is restlessness, then he should be taken to the hospital immediately. In medical language, it is called golden hour, that is, within an hour of trouble, the patient reaches the hospital and starts getting treatment, then nothing can happen to him. There will be no damage to the heart. On the other hand, if there is cardiac arrest, then it is necessary to take the patient to the hospital within 10 minutes. Because brain becomes very important here. If the brain does not get oxygen for 10 minutes, then it can be damaged.

That’s why even every minute is precious in cardiac arrest. If the patient is unconscious, it is necessary to give him immediate first aid as well, in which CPR i.e. give pressure on the chest with both hands, give artificial breath if there is no breathing and if possible give defibrillator.
