whole It is bone-chilling winter in North India. At the same time, the temperature is continuously falling in Delhi-NCR. Due to lack of sunlight and cold wave running throughout the day, not only people are facing difficulty in getting out of the house, but it is also becoming difficult to avoid this cold inside the house. However, one of the traditional medical methods present in India for this cold season, Yoga and Pranayama are not only very useful but also better ways to stay healthy without any expense and prepare the body to withstand this cold. Tell me too. In such a situation, by spending only a few minutes daily, you can drive away the cold with this booster dose of heat. Along with this, immunity can also be strengthened in the body.
SM Yoga Research Institute & Naturopathy Hospital India Secretary and Founder and CEO of Shantimarg The Yogashram America Yogguru Dr. Balammukund Shastri In conversation with News18 Hindi, we are telling about some such Pranayama, Kriyas and Yogasanas, which if done daily sitting at home, heat is generated in the body and one does not feel cold even in severe winter.
Dr. Balamukund explains that Pranayama is so effective that if done properly, you can see its effect within just a few days. They not only generate heat but also transmit energy. Among these, 2 Pranayama and one Yoga Kriya are important.
from your city (Delhi-NCR)
1. Surya Bhedi Pranayama
There are two holes in our nostrils. In these, the left hole is the symbol of Chandranadi which produces cold and the right hole is the symbol of Suryanadi which produces heat in the body. In this situation, inhaling through the right nostril and exhaling through the left nostril, do the process of Anulom-Vilom Pranayama. Due to this, the heat from Suryanadi will also flow into Chandranadi and heat will be generated in the body.
2. Bhastrika (Bhastrika Pranayama)
In this, you have to take fast breath and leave it fast. This pranayama is also a better option for generating heat in the body. In this, the breath has to be run like a bellows. When the person starts feeling like sweating on the forehead or heat in the head, then it has to be stopped.
3. Kapalbhati Kriya (Kapalbhati)
In one of the six purification activities, in one Kapalbhati process, only the breath has to be left out, the breath automatically comes inside. In this, heat starts to build up in the body.
4. These Yogasanas are also useful
Surya Namaskar, Paschimottanasana, Shirshasana, Setubandhasana, Halasana, Dhanurasana, Veerbhadrasana, Trikonasana, Sarvangasana etc. are very effective if done in winter.
Heart and high blood pressure patients should take care
Dr. Balamukund says that heart patients or high blood pressure patients should not do these pranayama and kapalbhati activities or do them under the guidance of a yoga guru, yoga therapist or yogacharya. This is a booster dose of heat which can be harmful for these patients.
Take special care of these 2 things
Dr. Balamukund says that whenever you do Pranayama, always keep a smile on your face because whatever you keep your mouth while doing Pranayama, the same effect will be seen in your daily life. Apart from this, do these Pranayama, Asanas and Kriyas for at least 1 hour in the winter season, then from the very first day you will feel quickness and warmth in the body.
