Kiwi came to India in the sixties

This fruit is new to India and it has been around 60 years since it came to the country, but people have started liking its spread and taste only a few years ago. According to the National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), its cultivation was started in Shimla in the year 1963. For a few years, it was cultivated on a very limited scale, because scientists were not sure whether people would like it or not. Later its cultivation was introduced in other states including Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Jammu-Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and colder regions including the Nilgiri Hills. Now its demand has started increasing and people are starting to taste it.

Kiwi fruit season in the country is from October to December, but due to the convenience of storage, it is also available in other months. Huh. In the off-season, this fruit is imported from China, Australia and New Zealand.

There is no answer in the quality of sour-sweet granulated kiwi fruit. According to modern information, a normal weight kiwi contains 42 calories, 215 mg potassium, 1 g fiber, 0.8 g protein, 23 mg calcium, 64 mg vitamin C, 2 g sugar, 1 mg vitamin E, 8 microgram vitamin K, 7 Mg magnesium and other vitamins and minerals are present.
