MS Disease: Multiple sclerosis preying on women aged 20-30 years, AIIMS professor advised

New Delhi. Today is World Multiple Sclerosis Day. Around 25 lakh people in the world are suffering from this disease. It is a disease in which the patient loses control of his body and he becomes weak and unable to move. Some of its symptoms are also similar to paralysis, but this disease is multiple sclerosis which affects the main nervous system of the body. It is an autoimmune disorder that specifically affects the brain, spinal cord and optic nerve. According to health experts, the most dangerous aspect of this disease is that it is making people especially their victims in the age group of 20 to 30 years.

based in delhi All India Institute of Medical Sciences Professor at Center of Excellence in Dr. Manjari Tripathi In a conversation with News 18 Hindi, it is said that in MS disease, the electrical signals going from the brain to other parts of the body are not able to reach. Because of which the brain loses its control over the parts of the body and the operation and balance of muscles anywhere in the body deteriorates. Sudden loss of vision can also occur due to this disease.

Dr. Manjari says that in this disease, the cells responsible for immunity in our body attack the body itself. They attack the nervous system of the brain ie neurons. Why this happens is still a matter of research. But in what has come out so far, it has been found that there are some viruses which have clinical or sub-clinical effect, many times the patient is not even aware that some virus has attacked him. In such a situation, due to infection of any virus, this disease can flourish without any vaccination or any reason.

What is multiple sclerosis
Dr. Manjari says that acute attacks come in this disease. It can be understood in such a way that any new symptom arises in the body apart from the routine and it lasts for more than 24 hours, such as sudden numbness in a leg or arm, paralysis in the legs, there is complete weakness in the legs. If the legs or arms stop working, there is spasm or stiffness in the muscles, epilepsy and if this condition persists for more than 24 hours, then it can be multiple sclerosis. This type of situation can happen many times. Which is called multiple sclerosis attack.

These are symptoms
, The arms or legs may suddenly stop working.
, Due to this disease, the eyesight can go away in a few hours or moments. It is absolutely acute.
, One thing can be seen as two. That is, the problem of double vision.
, Difficulty speaking or lack of clarity in pronunciation.
, Fatigue, tension and body aches.
, Tingling in the body or in any part of the body.

These can be the reasons for this disease
Dr. Manjari says that vitamin D can be a big reason as far as the risk factor is concerned. If there is a deficiency of this vitamin in someone’s body, then the patient may have multiple sclerosis attacks again and again. Apart from this, even if there is a lot of stress, this disease can come up again and again. It has been seen that this disease can occur even after using too much dairy products like milk, curd, cheese etc. On the other hand, non-vegetarians who eat red meat can also trigger this disease. Sometimes this disease can also occur due to exposure to chemicals, insecticides, pesticides etc. used for cleaning in the kitchen. Apart from this, there is an antigen in the body that deals with immunity, if it has a particular type, then it can happen. It is not genetic.

There are expensive and cheap medicines in the country
Dr. Manjari Tripathi says that today there is a cure for this disease in our country. For this, the most expensive and the cheapest medicines are available. From medicines to injections. Some injections can be taken by patients themselves. At the same time, there are some injections which are also given in pregnancy. Although the good thing has been seen that this disease affects less in pregnancy and its attacks are less. However, the most important thing is that if the patient is having attacks of multiple sclerosis, then he should contact the doctor immediately.

MS patients should take these measures
, Dr. Manjari says that if you have multiple sclerosis, do yoga, reduce stress. America has done a study in which it has been found that MS patients have benefited from yoga.
, MS patients should live in a cool environment. where it is cold
, Diet should be good. Take less red meat, milk products. Take natural food. Do not eat food of artificial flavor etc. Eat food rich in fiber, vitamins and proteins.
, Cleaning in the house Clean it with natural things, instead of chemicals.
, Do not do very hard physical activities.
, Don’t think too much about the disease and don’t read.
, If you are getting information about the disease, then reach out to the doctor in the beginning. Not only this, if the treatment is going on, then do not leave the treatment in the middle if it is beneficial. complete the treatment.
