New Delhi. The way technology is expanding rapidly and smart devices are playing an important role in people’s lives, some of its harmful aspects are also coming to the fore. This has been revealed in a recent study by Vivo (Vivo India), a big smart device maker. Study revealed that smart fone (Smartphones) may have become a big part of your routine, but due to its excessive use, marital relations are deteriorating in India. This study has been done on the basis of a survey of 1,000 smartphone users in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Pune.
According to a report in Indian Express, a ‘Switch Off’ study was conducted by Vivo India in collaboration with Cybermedia Research, whose topic was ‘Smartphones and their impact on human relationships 2022’. It has been found in this study that 67 percent of people are on the phone even while spending time with their husband or wife.
At the same time, 89 per cent also said that they spend less time talking comfortably with their spouse as much as possible. The study concluded that smartphone users also agree that in-person engagements are more relaxing and they spend less time doing so.

According to the study report, 84 percent of smartphone users say that they want to spend more time with their spouse. He is accepting the problems and is also ready to change. At the same time, 88 percent of users believe that the increasing use or interference of smartphones is harming their relationship with their spouse. About 90 percent people would like to have more free time for meaningful conversation with their spouse.
On an average, the couple spends so many hours on the smartphone every day.
Talking about the results of the study, both husband and wife equally spend an average of 4.7 hours on the smartphone every day. Apart from this, 73 percent people have also accepted that instead of spending time with husband or wife, they spend more time on the phone.
70 percent get irritated when something is said while on the smartphone
The fact has also come to the fore that 70 percent of people get irritated when their husband or wife asks for something when they are engrossed in their smartphones. According to the study, 66 percent of people feel that excessive use of smartphones has weakened their relationship with their spouse.
Vivo India Head (Brand Strategy) Yogendra Sriramula said that the importance of smartphones in today’s life is undeniable, but users need to be careful about its excessive use. He also added that as a responsible brand, we want to highlight the importance of spending time with our loved ones, as this is the true meaning of free time.
88 percent of users spend free time on the phone
According to the report, about 88 percent of the users spend their free time on the smartphone and it has become a part of their behavior. At the same time, 90 percent have considered smartphone use as the most preferred way to relax.
It has been learned that every smartphone user has about one and a half hours of free time every day. Most of them like to spend their free time with the family. However, he keeps his smartphone with him while spending time with his family. However, the average time spent on casual chat is about the same, at around two hours.
It has also been revealed in this study that 89 percent of the users feel the desire to access their smartphone as soon as they get some free time. The study of behavior shows that 88 percent of the users have made spending their free time on the smartphone a part of life.
