Triangle shaped samosa reached India through Arabic traders

It was very popular in Iran till the 16th century, but then it went down.

Those who brought it to India were Arab traders, who used to come to Central Asia and India for trade from the Middle East. He came here with them. Possibly in the tenth century. The Mughals also contributed in making it more delicious and royal. In doing some new experiments with it. But it was certain that the samosas were their favorite dish for the merchants who came from Iran and Arabia. was easily made. It was flavourful. But the samosa we are talking about was non-vegetarian. It was made by mixing it with mutton mince and almonds etc. It was fried in oil. Mughals gave new glory
The Mughals had a special love for samosas. Like every dish, his royal kitchen developed the samosa. With different flavors and ingredients. According to Amir Khusro, the poet of the Delhi Sultanate, “It was a favorite dish of the Mughal court in the 13th century.” In the 16th century Abul Fazl wrote in the Ain-i-Akbari, “It was served before the main meal. Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, spices were mixed with mince in it. The shape was triangular. Used to close it by filling it in a triangle of wheat flour or maida. Used to fry in ghee.
When Ibn Babuta reached India, he saw people eating samosas in the court of Mohammad bin Tughlaq. Then wrote that how in India the taste of samosa speaks loudly.
